The Ladder

Where you enter depends on what you already hold.

Every route is organised by level. You do not start again — you continue from the qualification and the experience you already have.

A second degree, for upskilling and reskilling
The ladder is not only for people climbing it for the first time. A bachelor's degree you already hold can take you into a bachelor's top-up in a different field, giving you a second bachelor's degree. A master's degree or a doctorate in the same or a closely related field can take you into a master's top-up, giving you a second master's. These are the routes our applicants use to change direction, to add a UK award to a qualification earned elsewhere, or to certificate a role they have already grown into at work. Entry level is assessed individually at admission.

Upskill and Reskill

You do not arrive as a beginner

Lifelong learning is a national priority in Thailand, and most people who come to ADVEX are already working. Qualifications you hold, training you have completed and years you have spent doing the job are all forms of learning that can be recognised and credited, so that you study what is new to you rather than repeating what you already know.

No degree yet? Start where your experience puts you

ADVEX diplomas at SCQF Levels 6, 8 and 11 are built for people already in work. A Level 8 diploma is the standard entry route to the final year of a UK bachelor's degree; a Level 11 diploma carries 120 credits towards a master's. Recognition of Prior Learning can reduce what you need to study at each stage.

Credit that does not expire

ADVEX is an educational institution approved by the Office of the Private Education Commission (OPEC), Ministry of Education Thailand, to operate a credit bank. Learning can be recorded and accumulated over time rather than expiring, so a module you complete now can count towards a qualification you begin later. This matters if you study in stages around work.

Recognition of Prior Learning →

Studying with an employer behind you

Where a group from one organisation studies together, ADVEX arranges group enrolment, customised programmes and group RPL assessment. If your employer funds training, that route is usually better value than enrolling alone.

For Employers →

You study what is new to you, not what you already know.
